Bill beat the Traffic Ticket. It got reduced to a non traffic violation and a $40.00 fine. He never got any points against his license so that is good.

If he was found guilty of the speeding ticket he would have received 4 points against his license. Speeding (11-20 MPH over posted limit): 4 points

I asked Bill why he took the plea agreement and he said he just wanted to get it over.

I believe he just got scared by being in court. They offered him a plea agreement for a non traffic offense and he took it.

That makes me believe the Prosecutor knew he was beat and wanted to make Bill believe the plea agreement was the best he could do. Being the good guy he is...

I wish Bill would have pleaded NOT GUILTY and went all the way with it to see what happened but it was not me in court so I sort of understand.

The next thing to do is to print out a special case law document (which I give you access to with my book) and make three copies of it. One will be for you, one for the judge and one for the prosecutor.

Phase one is now complete! Now on to phase two.

Believe it or not, just by completing this first phase, you are way ahead of the game.

Now, because you have this case law, you will have more control in the courtroom. Once the prosecutor sees that you have this document with you, he’ll know to back off a bit and play his cards right.

Case law can play a huge factor in beating your speeding ticket when the judge or prosecutor are taking advantage of you.

You can still beat a speeding ticket without one, but it sure makes your job a whole lot easier with it.

Okay, now that you have made three copies of the case law, it is time to prepare your defense.

Officer’s Testimony

In order to be found guilty of a speeding ticket in traffic court, the police officer must prove certain things during his initial testimony. Here are a few of them:

• You were the one he caught speeding.

• You were caught speeding in a specific model and year vehicle with license plate number.

• You were speeding on a specific street at a specific time and day within his jurisdiction.

• The unit used to measure your speed was properly functioning and calibrated.

This is exactly what the officer must testify to. If he leaves anything out, you should "attack" it and try to beat your case.

That is a good question. It seems thousands of people each day continue to pay the courts for speeding tickets but they don't have to.

A driver is pulled over by a policeman. The police man approaches the driver's door.

"Is there a problem Officer?"

The policeman says, "Sir, you were speeding. Can I see your licence please?"
